My Mondo

Cheap international calls from your mobile

Making an international call from your UK mobile with My Mondo can cost you the same as from your landline. This will give you massive savings compared to the international mobile tariffs charged by UK mobile network operators.

Most mobile operators charge the same to call a non-geographic number (starting with 0844 or 0871) as your landline operator does. Which is great for you because that's what most of the My Mondo access numbers start with.

We now have a special access number for making international calls with My Mondo. Depending on your mobile network these calls could be free. Information on these cheap mobile calls can be found here.

1.The cost of calling from a UK mobile phone

You can use My Mondo from any UK phone network. All of our rates are quoted from a BT residential line and billed by the second.

However, some phone networks may choose to add their own surcharges to our quoted rates. Unfortunately this is completely beyond our control. It is entirely at the discretion of the network and can vary depending on the tariff package that you subscribe to. 100% of these extra charges are retained by the phone network and we derive no extra revenues from them.

Before dialling a My Mondo access number from your mobile we strongly urge you to check with your network operator whether they will apply surcharges to your call. Customer service numbers for the UK mobile phone network operators are listed below:
Network Customer service number
from mobile from landline
3 333 08707 330 333
Orange 150/450* 0800 80 10 80
O2 202/9* 08705 214 0202
T-Mobile 150 08454 121 121

2.How do I pay?

All calls will be billed directly by your mobile service provider. There will be NO bills from us. You will see the call on your next telephone bill from your mobile service provider.

3.My Mondo for "free" international calls

If you are on a monthly payment plan with your network service provider you probably get a number of inclusive minutes bundled in "free" with your monthly line rental. Calling My Mondo access numbers may be included in these bundles. Check with your operator. Some network operators bundle our mobile access number, 07744 787 250, in with your free minutes too. More details on our mobile access number page.

4. Using My Mondo with a mobile phone handset

When calling from your mobile, remember to only press the call or send button after dialling the access number but not again after dialling the destination number.

5. Speed dial international numbers from your phone book

Keep your international phone numbers where you keep your domestic ones, in your mobile handset's phone book.

All you have to do is add your international numbers into your phone book with the appropriate My Mondo access number and a pause before it. Then you can just dial one number and then hit the send button to start making your cheap international calls wherever and whenever you want to.

When you do this your handset dials the My Mondo access number, pauses for a few seconds while it connects and the voice prompt starts, then automatically dials your destination number. Simple one touch phoning overseas. You can do this on some new landline phone handsets now too.

Eg: If you want to phone Rae in New Zealand:
  1. First create a new entry called 'Rae' in the phone book on your mobile handset.
  2. In the number field enter the My Mondo access number ie 0844 629 0100
  3. Then add a 'pause'. This is different for different brands of mobile (details below)
  4. Then add the destination number (don't forget the 00 and the country code)
  5. Save the number in your phone's memory
No excuses for not calling on her birthday now.

Handset make To enter a pause
Nokia press star (*) three times

Sony-Ericsson / Motorola press and hold star (*)

If you have problems with your handset check your instruction book or contact your phone manufacturer.
